Ingredients
500 g | Beef mince, with a good amount of fat (Main) |
2 tsp | Sea salt flakes |
1 tsp | Freshly ground black pepper |
1 splash | Vegetable oil |
1 | Onion, finely sliced |
1 sprinkle | Cheddar cheese, grated, per slider |
11 | Slider buns (Main) |
1 splash | Tomato ketchup, per serve |
1 serving | Pickle, slices, per slider |
Directions
- Season mince with sea salt flakes and pepper. Form to make 11 x 45g patties and chill until ready to cook (stack them in between slices of baking paper and refrigerate).
- Drizzle a little oil on a large grill pan. Add burger patties, pressing down with a spatula, and sprinkle them generously with finely sliced onion. Cover and let them sizzle for 30 seconds. Flip burgers to allow onion to caramelise. Add some grated cheddar and the top of a slider bun to each pattie. Place the bottom buns directly on to the grill pan to toast. Cover and cook for a further minute or two, until the cheese is melty and the onion coloured.
- Remove bottom buns, squirt with ketchup and add sliced pickles. Remove tops (using a spatula to scoop beneath the onions), place on the bottoms and eat immediately.
