A version of an Aperol Spritz
An aperitif (in France) or aperitivo (in Italy) is traditionally served to open up the palate before a meal. Adding bubbles makes for a fun pre-dinner birthday cocktail. Aperol is slightly sweeter than Campari, and the vodka just gives this an additional kick.
Ingredients
30 ml | Campari, or Aperol |
1 serving | Vodka |
1 serving | Prosecco sparkling wine, to top the glass (Main) |
1 squeeze | Freshly squeezed orange juice |
1 slice | Orange, use a half slice, to garnish |
Directions
- In a Champagne flute or a small glass, add the Campari or Aperol and the vodka.
- Squeeze in a couple of drops of juice from half an orange, and top with Prosecco.
- Garnish with half a slice of orange and serve immediately.
