Ingredients
1 punnet | Strawberries, thinly sliced (Main) |
½ | Oranges, zest and juice |
1 splash | Vodka, or use gin |
1 sprinkle | Icing sugar |
6 pieces | Shortbread, 2 biscuits per sundae, crushed (Main) |
3 scoops | Berry gelato (Main) |
1 | Pomegranate, seeds sprinkled over for serving, alernatively dust with strawberry powder |
Directions
- Combine strawberry slices with orange zest and juice, the splash of vodka or gin and icing sugar. Leave to macerate. (This makes enough for 3-4 sundaes.)
- Crumble a couple of shortbread biscuits into each sundae glass, and cover with strawberries and juice. Add a large ball of berry gelato to each and top with pomegranate seeds (or a dusting of strawberry powder).
