Bite’s second birthday cocktail is our own alcoholic version of Schweppes Sparking Duet — a fizzy orange and lemon favourite.
Ingredients
20 ml | Grand Marnier, or Cointreau (Main) |
20 ml | Cognac, or brandy (Main) |
20 ml | Lemon juice |
1 serving | Sparkling wine, to top the glass (Main) |
Directions
- Place 8-10 ice cubes in a shaker.
- Add grand marnier, cognac and lemon juice and shake well.
- Strain into a glass and top with sparkling wine.
Note
For the beer drinkers of course we will be serving Hallertau number 2. Although Hallertau have now given their beers names, the numbers have stuck around and I know I always ask for “a number 2”. In Geoff Scott’s batter feature a couple of weeks ago you may have noticed that his ultimate Kiwi beer batter is made using Hallertau number 2.
