I think I’ve told you this before but I’ll tell you again, freekeh is four times healthier than brown rice, just saying.
Ingredients
1 cup | Cracked freekeh grains (Main) |
1 tsp | Extra virgin olive oil |
¼ tsp | Salt, or herb salt |
2 ½ cups | Chicken stock, or vegetable stock |
1 ½ cups | Peas, cooked (Main) |
Directions
- Place all ingredients apart from the peas into a heavy-based saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to a simmer and cook covered for 15-20 minutes or until tender.
- Roughly mash the peas and fold through the cooked freekeh.
