Ingredients
250 g | Strawberries, sliced (Main) |
1 | Lemon, juice of |
250 g | Granulated white sugar |
1 knob | Butter |
Directions
- Place the sliced strawberries and lemon juice in a medium heavy-based saucepan and heat until juices just begin to run. Add the sugar gradually and, once dissolved, boil quickly for 5 minutes.
- Remove from the heat, add butter and stir for 5 minutes. Stir occasionally for the next 15 minutes until all sediment has been stirred in.
- Pour strawberry jam into warm, sterilised jars or jar and seal with jam covers and a screw-top if you have one.
