I am currently breastfeeding and received a beautiful bottle of Red Wine, I was looking for a way to enjoy my wine without drinking it. I love cooking so thought it would be nice make a delicious wine based meal. You will note I used Coconut Cream...I must say this was a bit of a risk as I know Coconut Cream is a lot more healthy than dairy so was a bit of an experiment but was really happy with the outcome and so was hubby! I served this on mash as hubby does not like rice. I used Creamy Mushroom Packet Soup could not find it in the drop down menu
Ingredients
500 g | Lamb leg steaks (Main) |
1 cup | Red wine |
1 can | Coconut cream |
1 packet | Mushroom soup |
½ cup | Soy sauce |
1 sprig | Fresh rosemary |
1 tsp | Garlic salt |
1 tsp | Salt |
1 tsp | Ground black pepper |
1 ½ cups | Water |
1 ½ cups | Carrots, chopped |
2 cups | Potatoes, chopped |
1 cup | Green beans |

- Dice and brown Lamb in a little hot olive oil
- Combine Rest of the ingredients
- Add lamb and sauce into the the Slow Cooker and cook on low for 8 hours
- Serve on bed of Mashed Potato and garnish with Rosemary
