Simple, Delicious and Full of Flavour! This recipe is very flexible; you can change around the spices and vegs to the ones you prefer or have as well. This is a simple meal that can easily be prepared even for those who have busy life styles like myself, this can be prepared in 15-20min. Perfect meal with a bit of everything, vegetables and salad included.
Ingredients
2 cups | Rice, cooked (Main) |
750 g | Mince (Main) |
1 medium | Onion, Chopped |
5 Tbsp | Tomato paste |
1 tsp | Chilli powder |
1 tsp | Salt |
1 tsp | White pepper |
2 tsp | Turmeric |
1 bag | Kale leaves, washed and cut |
1 medium | Carrot, Grated |
6 medium | Button mushrooms, sliced |
1 bag | Green beans, cut in half |
5 Tbsp | Olive oil, for warming pan and cooking |
Directions
- Cook rice
- On medium heat fry onion for 1 min with olive oil, add spices, you do not need every ingredient you can work with what you have at home. I used turmeric, chilli powder, beef flavouring, salt and pepper for this one.
- Once onion has been fried for couple of minutes add mince, fry for 5 minutes on medium heat
- Add tomato paste, cook for further 5 min and then let simmer on low heat for another 5 minutes until cooked
- Add olive oil to separate fry pan, Sauté mushroom for 3-5min on medium heat, dish up
- Use same fry pan, add olive oil to fry beans for 3-5min on medium heat
- Wash kale and grate carrot for salad
- Serve mince with rice (not imaged)
