Summer also calls for a glass of beautiful New Zealand rose. We have taken one of our favourite summertime drinks and turned it into a refreshing jelly filled with fresh berries and a dollop of cream. It’s a perfect refreshing treat at the end of the day and a great dessert if you are entertaining, because you can have them sitting in the fridge ready to go.
Ingredients
600 ml | Rosé wine (Main) |
100 g | Sugar |
2 ½ tsp | Gelatine, powdered (Main) |
4 | Strawberries, sliced (Main) |
20 | Blueberries |
½ cup | Whipped cream |
¼ cup | Freeze-dried raspberries |
Directions
- Place the wine and sugar in a large pot. Heat until the sugar has dissolved.
- Soak the gelatine in cold water for 5 minutes. Add the gelatine to the wine mixture. Stir well until it dissolves.
- In four glasses of your choice (we used wine glasses) add a sliced strawberry and some of the blueberries. Pour over the wine mix and allow to set in the fridge for about 4 hours.
- Serve with whipped cream and sprinkle over the freeze-dried raspberries to serve.
