Ingredients
1 | Red onion, chopped |
1 | Pear, brown pear, peeled and grated (Main) |
2 Tbsp | Chives, chopped |
60 g | Blue cheese, crumbled |
¼ cup | Rice flour |
1 tsp | Baking powder |
2 | Eggs, whites only |
1 to taste | Salt & freshly ground pepper |
1 to fry | Vegetable oil |
Directions
- Place the pear, onion, chives, cheese, flour, baking powder, egg white, salt and pepper in a bowl and mix to combine.
- Heat 1cm oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Add tablespoonfuls of the mixture and cook, in batches, for 1-2 minutes on each side or until golden.
- Remove from the pan and drain on absorbent paper.
Tip:Keep your first batches of fritters warm while you cook the remaining fritters by placing on a baking tray lined with non-stick paper and keeping in a low oven (160C).
