The recipe is easy and so moreish- everyone just loves the meat and it can be modified to suit what is "in the cupboard"
Ingredients
4 pieces | Blade steaks, X cut |
1 Tbsp | Butter |
1 packet | Onion soup mix |
½ large | Green pepper |
2 medium | Tomatoes |
½ cup | Tomato puree |
2 Tbsp | Worcestershire sauce |
1 Tbsp | Cornflour |
2 pinches | Salt and pepper |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 F Line baking dish with extra large piece of tin foil. Grease with butter. Overlap pieces of steak. Put onion soup on top and chopped tomatoes and pepper.
- Mix together w. sauce, tomato puree and cornflour and pour over. Season with salt and pepper. Double fold edges of tinfoil so that no liquid can escape. Cook for two hours at 350 F.
