'Awww shucks' says Warren Elwin. Now's the time to impress your guests with an oyster or four
Ingredients
3 rashers | Bacon |
1 cup | Breadcrumbs |
1 clove | Garlic, crushed |
1 handful | Fresh parsley, or dill, freshly cut |
1 serving | Lemon zest, or orange zest |
8 | Oysters, in the ½ shell (Main) |
1 knob | Butter, per oyster |
1 squeeze | Lemon juice, per oyster |
Directions
- Cook bacon and cut into thin strips.
- Combine bacon with breadcrumbs, garlic, parsley or dill, lemon or orange zest, salt and freshly ground black pepper.
- Sprinkle crumb mix on to oysters in the ½ shell, add a small knob of butter to each, then grill until crunchy.
- Serve with a squeeze of lemon juice.
