Ingredients
8 | Plums, choose red ones, halved and stoned (Main) |
½ cup | Red wine (Main) |
2 Tbsp | Brown sugar |
½ tsp | Ground cinnamon |
½ tsp | Chinese five spice |
1 | Star anise (Main) |
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 200C. Lightly oil a shallow baking dish.
- Place the plums, cut-side up, in the dish. Combine the remaining ingredients, season with salt and pepper to taste and drizzle over the plums.
- Bake for 20 minutes, until the plums are hot and the sauce is bubbling.
