The oranges and strawberries for the salad can be pre done and I just sprinkle the sugar and Campari on top and leave it to soak for a while before serving. This salad pairs nicely with French almond cake.
Ingredients
5 | Oranges, peeled with a sharp knife leaving no pith, oranges halved and halves thinly sliced (Main) |
250 g | Strawberries, hulled and halved (Main) |
¼ cup | Caster sugar |
50 ml | Campari |
200 g | Mascarpone |
Directions
- Put the orange slices and strawberries on a deepish platter.
- Sprinkle the sugar and Campari over the fruit and reserve for a minimum of 15 minutes or up to 1 hour.
- Serve the salad with wedges of the cake and the mascarpone on the side.
