Dumplings
30 g | Butter |
1 ¼ cups | Self raising flour (Main) |
1 pinch | Salt |
½ cup | Milk |
⅓ cup | Golden syrup (Main) |
Sauce
½ cup | Golden syrup (Main) |
¾ cup | Brown sugar |
1 ½ cups | Water |
Directions
- Sift flour and salt together then rub in butter. Combine golden syrup with the milk and gently mix through.
- To make the sauce, simmer ingredients together in a large saucepan for 5 minutes, then drop small spoons of the dumpling batter into sauce.
- Simmer for 25 minutes and serve with extra sauce and cream or ice cream.
