No apologies for the most simple of desserts; by using fresh fruit and high quality ingredients you will offer a totally refreshing end to the meal.
Ingredients
2 | Pears, large and ripe |
3 | Persimmons, ripe (Main) |
4 Tbsp | Vanilla syrup, plus extra to drizzle |
½ Ltr | Vanilla ice cream, or use a flavoured ice cream with berries |
Directions
- Peel and core the persimmons and pears. Slice thinly, put in a large bowl and toss the syrup through to coat all the fruit. When ready to serve, apportion the pears and persimmons in six glass dessert dishes.
- Place a generous scoop of icecream on the fruit, and drizzle over a little extra vanilla syrup.
