Heads up folks, freekeh is four times healthier than brown rice, it has an ever-so slightly smoky taste and brings an interesting texture to the risotto. This freekah risotto goes with my Morcoccan-inspired pork loin.
Ingredients
1 cup | Cracked freekeh grains (Main) |
1 tsp | Cocavo oil |
1 tsp | Moroccan seasoning |
¼ tsp | Salt, or herb salt |
2 ½ cups | Stock, chicken or vegetable |
Directions
- Place all ingredients into a heavy-based saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to a simmer and cook covered for 15-20 minutes or until tender.
