Ingredients
| 200 g | Butter, soft |
| ¾ cup | Icing sugar |
| ½ tsp | Baking powder |
| 1 cup | Cornflour |
| 1 cup | Plain flour (Main) |
Icing
| 2 tsp | Butter, soft |
| 1 tsp | Elderflower syrup, (Monin) |
| 1 cup | Icing sugar |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 180C. Cream butter and icing sugar until pale. Sift flour, cornflour and baking powder and mix into the creamed mixture.
- Roll dough into small balls and place on a greased oven tray. Press gently with the tines of a fork. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until slightly golden.
- Mix the butter with the syrup. Sift the icing sugar and add to the butter mixture with enough boiling water to make a smooth paste. Spread onto half the biscuits, then top with remaining biscuits.
