Spread this seasonal cheer on anything that needs to be buttered. Pikelets and pancakes, gems and gingerbreads will love you for it. You can even rub it into fresh sweetcorn.
Ingredients
50 g | Dried cranberries, chopped |
1 splash | Gin, or rum |
200 g | Butter (Main) |
50 g | Pecans, walnuts or pistachios, chopped |
1 | Orange, zest of |
2 cm | Fresh ginger, finely grated |
1 tsp | Christmas spice, see method below |
1 handful | Edible flower, petals |
Directions
- Cover the cranberries with gin or rum and leave to soften.
- Chop the butter into a bowl. Add the cranberries, liquor, pecans, orange zest, ginger, Christmas spice (seerecipe) and flower petals.
- Whip together well, then roll into baking paper and twist to form a Christmas cracker. Refrigerate to store.
