These are the best things! Not too sweet, and with the surprise of the walnut stuffing. Don’t use dried Turkish figs as they are too hard. I used the Tasti brand of ready to eat figs, which are soft and juicy.
Ingredients
12 | Soft dried figs (Main) |
12 | Walnut halves |
250 g | Dark chocolate, chopped, melted in a heatproof bowl over another bowl of very hot but not boiling water (Main) |
12 | Small paper cases |
Directions
- For 1 fig; Gently pull the fig back into shape if it is a bit flattened. Make a slit down one side. Insert a walnut half inside the fig.
- Dip in the melted chocolate letting any excess chocolate slide off. (Hold the dipped fig on a fork and gently tap to help the excess chocolate slide off).
- Place in a paper case. Allow to harden in a cool place.
- Repeat for the other 11 figs.
