I wanted to make a 'healthy' treat and the Be Natural Coco-Nutty Granola (which we enjoy for breakfast with coconut water) provided lots of crunchy goodness and flavour for what otherwise would be a very simple slice.
Ingredients
100 g | Butter, at room temperature |
½ cup | Coconut sugar |
1 large | Egg |
1 ½ tsp | Vanilla extract |
1 cup | Flour |
1 tsp | Baking powder |
¼ tsp | Cinnamon |
1 cup | Granola, we used Be Natural Coco-Nutty Coconut, Spelt & Fig Granola (Main) |
½ cup | Desiccated coconut |
100 g | Dark chocolate, chopped |
Directions
- Grease and line a 20 x 20cm square baking tin.
- Beat butter and sugar until creamy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
- Sift in flour, baking powder and cinnamon. Add Be Natural Coco-Nutty Granola, coconut and chocolate and mix just to combine all ingredients.
- Press in to prepared tin and bake for 30 minutesor until a skewer inserted in to the centre comes out clean.
