A simple but stunning starter.
Ingredients
100 g | Buffalo mozzarella, fresh, sliced (Main) |
6 | Figs, large, fresh (Main) |
2 Tbsp | Extra virgin olive oil |
1 Tbsp | Balsamic vinegar |
1 to taste | Freshly ground black pepper |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 200degC. Remove fig stems. In each fig, make two cuts at right angles to each other, cutting from top to halfway down. Insert slice of mozzarella in each cut.
- Place in baking pan. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and season with black pepper. Bake for 10 minutes.
