A delcious canape for asparagus season.
Ingredients
2 Tbsp | Sour cream |
2 Tbsp | Cream cheese |
½ | Lemons, zested, or orange zest |
1 handful | Fresh herbs, small, chervil, chives, tarragon |
1 bunch | Asparagus, or more, blanched (Main) |
1 packet | Bacon, as much as needed, cooked (Main) |
2 small | Pears, firm but ripe, or more as needed |
Directions
- Make a cream cheese spread by mixing sour cream with cream cheese, the zest of lemon or orange and a small handful of chopped herbs. Season with salt and pepper and chill.
- Wrap blanched asparagus tips in small pieces of cooked bacon, and secure with a toothpick. You could also wrap fresh asparagus with raw bacon and grill or barbecue them.
- To serve, cut small pears into bite-sized rounds, add a dollop of cream cheese, spread and top with an asparagus roll.
