I love a good pasta dish, prepared during the day so it's ready to put straight into the preheated oven 20 minutes before eating. Most children love the salty flavour of bacon, pasta and cheese.
Ingredients
25 g | Butter |
1 | Onion, chopped finely |
4 rashers | Bacon, cut into chunks |
1 Tbsp | Flour |
1 ½ cups | Milk |
1 Tbsp | Thyme leaves |
1 cup | Tasty cheese, grated |
4 cups | Pasta, cooked (Main) |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 180C.
- Melt butter in a pot. Add onion and bacon and cook for 4 or 5 minutes without browning. Add flour and stir for 2 minutes. Slowly add milk, stirring until sauce has thickened. Stir through thyme, half the cheese, and season with salt and pepper.
- Add pasta and stir, coating it in sauce. Spoon into individual dishes or one large dish. Sprinkle on remaining cheese. Place in hot oven for 20 minutes or until golden.
- Serve hot.
