I’m crazy about nuts and have tried to replace a sugar addiction with one for nuts. You should try it. Different nuts have different health benefits, however, they can also have some downsides as many people suffer from nut allergies. So when you’re cooking with nuts for visitors always check they are okay to eat them. There are so many ways to use nuts. For example, I’m a big fan of almonds and love putting them in smoothies and as a base for salad dressings. Today, though, I’ve got a cashew and carrot romesco sauce topped with lots of goodness, and a nut and seed bread.
Nut and Seed Bread
I like to spread slices with Marmite and grill cheese over the top then cut into soldiers for Hazel’s lunchbox. Another way I like to serve this bread is lightly grilled dipped in extra virgin olive oil and then in Moroccan dukkah (recipe for the dukkah follows). This bread freezes well, slice it up, pop it in a container and then into the freezer.
