I like the well-developed flavour of casseroles (the name of the type of dish and the thing it is made in) but I am not yet ready for heavier winter food. The following are the sort of things we make at home for family dinners at this time of year.
Spicy chicken with tomatoes and green beans
I particularly like the flavour and texture combination of beans, chilli and tomatoes, and everyone likes chicken (except vegetarians).
Tofu braised with greens
This has little resemblance to any traditional Chinese dish, I just like the flavours and creamy and crunchy textures.
Pork meatballs with vegetables and cannellini beans
This freezes and reheats well but add some water as the beans thicken the sauce.
