Cooking quinoa is an easy process, similar to the way you'd cook rice.
Quinoa will increase in volume as it is cooked; for every cup of uncooked quinoa, you'll get three cups of cooked quinoa.
Here's how you'd do it:
Step 1: Rinse the quinoa under water in a very fine sieve to remove any traces of saponin, the bitter coating of the seed.

Step 2: To cook, use two cups of liquid to every cup of quinoa.
Step 3: Bring to the boil, lower heat, cover and cook for 10-12 minutes.
Step 4: Remove from heat and stand for five minutes. Use a fork to fluff up the quinoa for best results.
