The Mangawhai Meat Shop has taken out the Supreme Award in the Devro Great New Zealand Sausage Competition 2016 with their chicken, lime and lemongrass sausage, which sounds rather darn delicious to us.
If you’re after a beef snarler, head to Harris meats in Cheviot who won a gold for their Old English beef. Pork was won by Pak ‘n Save Riccarton for their Country Pork and fans of black pudding varieties will want to head to Waikanae Butchery for their white pudding.
