Yealands may up Oyster Bay bid

Peter Yealands will make official or better his $4.50 a share offer for control of Oyster Bay Marlborough Vineyards by December 14.

Yealands had until yesterday to table the offer he made on November 1, but said he did not have enough time between Monday's court hearing and the deadline to have the offer sent to shareholders.

The High Court voided Delegat's $4 a share offer this week, saying errors in the Oyster Bay target statement could not be corrected.
