Do you want wine or beer with that burger and fries? That could be the question coming from the staff at fast food chain Wendy's, in Christchurch.
The Hornby restaurant's applied to the Christchurch City Council for a liquor licence between the times of 8am - 12pm.
Deputy mayor Vicki Buck has concerns, however.
Buck said fast food outlets are often "gathering places for young people", so "just the fact that alcohol is present there will concern a number of people".
She also doesn't think the fast-food giant needs to be serving alcohol at breakfast time.
