Some of New Zealand's most innovative wearable technology will be on show today at the Wearable Technologies Picnic event in Auckland.
Now in its second year, the event showcases products and companies working in the wearable tech space, as well as allowing companies to get together and share their expertise.
StretchSense CEO Benjamin O'Brien said the picnic was also a chance for the public to see some of the technology being developed.
"I think what I really liked about last year was that we had a whole bunch of people from the community, who weren't necessarily part of tech start-ups or other wearable companies, come out and see what it was all about and I think that's something I would really love to replicate this time," O'Brien said.
"It's super important that the companies get together and talk but it's even cooler if other people can see what New Zealand's tech companies are actually achieving and to me that's really exciting."
