Walker Wireless is expected to either rename itself or launch a new brand, called Woosh or Woosh Wireless, tomorrow.
The firm stated in August that it would launch a fast wireless internet service this month and voice capability later in the year.
The combination would allow residential customers an alternative to Telecom.
Managing director Rod Inglis would not confirm nor deny that Woosh was the chosen name, not wanting to pre-empt the marketing activities that are scheduled for tomorrow.
Last week the firm sent out a teaser card with the words: ``What is the sound of one hand clapping''. On the back it said ``The answer will change the way we live and work in New Zealand - watch this space''.
The next day a similar card asked: ``What is the sound of one hand clapping'' while on the back it said, ``discover the future''.
The names Woosh and Woosh Wireless have been reserved at the Companies Office.
In late March Walker Wireless registered the domain names woosh.co.nz, woosh.net.nz, woosh wireless.co.nz, wooshwireless. net.nz, woosh.com, woosh.net, wooshwireless.com, and woosh wireless.net.
