Voltage breakthrough

Vectek Electronics of Napier has developed technology that eliminates the surges, sags and flickers of voltage disturbances.

The company, which has just received $220,000 from government funding agency Technology New Zealand, is also working on a broadband active voltage conditioner.

The firm said it had signed major contracts with US companies.
