Vazey takes port job

Former Ports of Auckland chief executive Geoff Vazey is replacing Mike Daniel as chairman of Northland Port Corporation.

NPC is 52.4 per cent owned by Northland Regional Council and 19.9 per cent owned by Ports of Auckland.

Daniel, who had expressed dislike for the port's corporate structure, said in February that he owned more than 3 per cent.
