The US has taken another step toward restricting billions of dollars in clothing imports from China by reactivating 12 industry petitions. The Bush Administration has "resumed consideration of 12 requests for safeguard action" received from textile and apparel trade associations late last year, says an interagency committee that oversees textile trade.
