Television advertising revenue rose 6.8 per cent to $299.4 million in the six months to June 30 this year, compared with the same period last year.
But growth has slowed from a 9.8 per cent rise in the half year to June 2004.
Bruce Wallace, executive director of the Television Broadcasters' Council, said the trend to spend on television advertising had moderated, but the industry remained confident about future growth.
