Trio for Wrightson board

Wrightson has appointed three Williams & Kettle-nominated directors to its board.

John Bayly, Sir Selwyn Cushing and Gerald Weenink had been appointed as independent directors, Wrightson said yesterday.

Bayly is the W&K chairman, Cushing is deputy chairman and Weenink was W&K's chief executive until 2003.

Wrightson agreed to the appointments as part of its takeover offer for W&K, which closed on Friday with Wrightson holding a 93.7 per cent stake. It can now compulsorily acquire the remaining W&K shares.
