Transtasman baking franchise Brumby's Bakeries will open its 23rd store in this country, in Whangarei, next week and says it plans to add as many as three more in the coming year.
Brumby's has said its long-term goal is to have 60 stores in this country and is also looking at buying other businesses, saying it had identified several food retailing acquisition opportunities that could be pursued in the next 12 months.
In the year to June Brumby's posted a 21 per cent rise in annual profit to A$2.08 million ($2.43 million).
