Trade Me has launched a new service allowing users to book a courier without leaving the website.
The service will see a "courier costs calculator" embedded in the desktop site, which will allow sellers to estimate the cost of couriering an item - based on its dimensions and weight - through CourierPost or Fastway.
When an item sells, the seller can then book a courier through Trade Me, package it up, and choose the pickup location.
The seller and the buyer are both sent tracking information.
Trade Me head of marketplace Stuart McLean said the move was a response to customers saying sending sold items and calculating shipping costs was their number one issue.
