Tower announces Australian investments CEO

Tower, which plans to split its New Zealand and Australian operations, has announced the chief executive of its investments business in Australia.

The appointment of Gavin Pearce completed the Tower Australia executive team ahead of the possible demerger this year, Tower's managing director Jim Minto said.

Mr Pearce has been managing director of MetLife Insurance Ltd in Australia since its purchase of Citigroup's life insurance business, where he was also managing director.

He will be based in Sydney.
