Shares of Italian clothing maker Benetton Group tumbled after their chief executive resigned today, over what officials indicated were differences on the direction the company should take.
Benetton issued a statement that CEO Silvano Cassano resigned after he completed his brief restructuring of the company, but officials indicated later that he and the Benetton family disagreed on the direction of growth for the business.
The company said Chief Financial Officer Pier Francesco Facchini resigned as well, citing personal reasons.
