Global logistics business DHL is cutting around 30 jobs in a restructure it says will bring its staff numbers to a sustainable level.
A spokesperson for DHL said the company had increased its headcount due to a new IT system it had implemented.
The system has since been rolled back meaning it no longer needed the staff numbers.
"DHL Global Forwarding New Zealand is undergoing an organisational review to right-size the company for long-term sustainability and success," the spokesperson said.
"Unfortunately, this will impact a number of staff. We will provide impacted employees with severance packages and render support in looking for alternative employment."
