Tension between bidder Peter Yealands and Oyster Bay Marlborough Vineyards' independent directors is rising, as the investor prepares to pursue legal action.
Yealands said yesterday his legal team had hired a Queen's Counsel and intended to begin court proceedings tomorrow to make the directors disclose documents they are keeping secret.
He has requested the directors to disclose the quality of and how much Delegat's - the vineyard's sole customer - paid for Oyster Bay's grapes from 2003 to 2005.
