The Commerce Commission says Telecom has applied for clearance to buy the management rights and licences that it successfully bid for in a recent auction of radio-frequency spectrum.
Under the auction rules, such acquisitions must first be authorised by the competition watchdog.
The application is the second from a company involved in the auction. The first, from Vodafone, was cleared in December.
