The New Zealand Trade Development Board is looking to help five capital-hungry technology firms go to a conference in Singapore where they can make pitches to international investors representing multi-billion dollar funds.
Tony O'Brien, Trade NZ's manager for technology, education and services, told the Business Herald that these five companies would be chosen based on their readiness for investment. A professional institution would be helping Trade NZ in the assessment, he said.
"We are hoping to get New Zealand companies to make the pitch to investors representing some $10 billion in capital." The five companies chosen will attend a Corporate Builders South East Asian Investment series, to be held in Singapore from August 23-24. The sponsorship will cost Trade NZ $10,000.
