Surge in new car numbers

New car registrations rose nearly 20 per cent in March, the Land Transport Safety Authority said yesterday.

New registrations totalled 7114 in March, up from 5945 in the previous month, a rise of 19.7 per cent, and up 7.8 per cent from March 2005.
