Developer Willis Bond has taken deposits on more than half of its planned 164 new Wynyard Quarter apartments.
Roger Twose, project director of Willis Bond which is developing the 113-unit Wynyard Central and 51-unit 132 Halsey blocks, said demand had been strong.
"We have achieved over 50 per cent of sales, which is equivalent to over $150 million," he said. "Purchasers have paid a 10 per cent deposit and pay the balance on settlement."
At Wynyard Central, one-bedroom apartments sold from $565,000, two-bedroom from $945,000 and three-bedroom from $1.2 million.
"At 132 Halsey, given its position on the water's edge, large two-bedroom apartments sold from $2 million and three-bedroom apartments from $2.5 million."
