Digital recording platform TiVo will no longer be available in New Zealand from October.
The service was launched in 2009 to much fanfare but failed to gain a substantial footing in this country.
TiVo New Zealand said on its website that the service was shutting down later this year.
"TiVo has been bringing entertainment to New Zealand since 2009. Unfortunately all good things must eventually come to an end, and with our TiVo licence expiring this year, 31 October 2017 marks the discontinuation of the TiVo service in New Zealand," it said.
TVNZ paid some $10 million a stake in Tivo owner Hybrid Television Services, while Tivo was also linked to Telecom in this country.
