Six nominees were honoured at the inaugural Telecom New Zealand Incubators Awards in Wellington last night.
Superconducting product exporter HTS-110 was named start-up of the year. Debbie Turner from business performance accelerator Traffic NZ was named start-up entrepreneur of the year.
Mobile Commerce, the developer of a text message-based payment system, shared the innovation of the year award with Innaworks Development, chosen for its process of reducing the size of mobile games and applications for the J2ME platform.
Milk beverage developer func.nutrition picked up the hall of fame award. Canterbury Innovation Incubator was named incubator of the year for developing software and IP-based ventures into high-growth firms.
