Cantabrians could soon be the users of a second shipping container-style mall.
A number of central city retail shops shut by the February 22 earthquake last year were re-housed in colourful containers set up as part of the Cashel Mall restart programme.
The replacement shopping hub opened in October last year, and has received positive feedback from residents and business owners alike.
Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority (CERA) chief executive Roger Sutton told Newstalk ZB it was considering replicating the concept.
He said Colombo Street, a road adjacent to the existing mall, was being considered.
